About
I'm Derrek Mikacevich. I've spent over a decade building reporting and data systems at 3M, Thomson Reuters, Optum, and Curitec — across distribution, healthcare, finance, and sales.
I have an MBA and started in accounting, so I understand the business side — not just the technical side. I've been in the room when leadership asks for a number and three people give three different answers. That's the exact problem I solve.
At 3M, I managed $2.1 billion in sales analytics and built one of the most-used Power BI dashboards in the company — over 1,000 users a day. At Curitec, I eliminated 30+ hours a week of manual reporting and built customer-facing portals used by healthcare facilities across the country.
My tools range from Power BI, Salesforce, and SQL to building full web applications in React, Angular, and Node.js. I design automations in Power Automate, build custom portals, write API integrations, and model financial data. Most people specialize in one of those lanes — I work across all of them because business problems don't stay in one lane.
